Ehsaas Rashan Program: How to Apply For Registration (Guide).
Ehsaas Rashan Program will open from November 8th.

Ehsaas Rashan Program: Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a major country’s biggest relief package worth Rs. 120 billion to fund essential goods for 53% of the country’s population. Named the Ehsaas Rashan Program, 130 million people will receive 30% subsidies for purchasing each of the three basic units – oil/ghee, flour, and pulses – for the next six months.

Here’s what you need to know about the historical help package.

The recently announced Ehsaas Rashan program was launched under the Major Ehsaas Program, a leading financial aid program of the federal government in power. It is designed as a precise support system to provide financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries of discounted assets through digital processing services.

Eligibility criteria

The Ehsaas Rashan program has identified 20 million households across Pakistan with an income of Rs. 31,500 per month eligible for subsidies for essential food items. They were identified with the help of the Ehsaas National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) survey, which is also part of the Ehsaas Program.

Documents Required

There are certain documents required by the Ehsaas Rashan Program to ensure the eligibility of the beneficiaries.

These documents are:

  • Documentary evidence of willingness to share data with third parties authorized CNIC
  • Proof of family income less than Rs. 31,500.
  • A written statement that only one in the family has applied.

How to Apply?

Families that meet the eligibility criteria must apply at the Ehsaas Rashan portal only once. The Ehsaas Rashan Portal will be live on November 8th. Applications via SMS or any other channels will not be entertained and rejected immediately, although the government plans to introduce alternative registration methods in due course.

Selection:

Applicants for the Ehsaas Rashan Program will face a rigorous screening process to prevent duplication and misuse of the grant system. Family eligibility will be determined within three or four weeks, after which grant payment will begin.

Are govt employees eligible?

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Dr. Sania Nishtar explained that less than 31,000 public servants would be eligible to apply for the program. A unanimous cabinet decision would not exclude those traveling abroad for work purposes.
