Master Changan Motors Limited has made great pace since late 2021 after launching a full-fledged local integration of its vehicles. Its subcompact sedan, the Changan Alsvin, is one of Pakistan’s most popular passenger cars, while the Oshan X7 has also become quite common on the roads. Although based on its success and recent stages, the company plans to redesign its system by introducing two new crossover SUVs in Pakistan. Changan Motors SUVs launched is Changan CS35 Plus and Oshan X5. Although the company did not share any details, the teaser revealed some plans for these SUVs.

Changan CS35 Plus:

The Changan CS35 Plus is a subcompact crossover SUV that will compete with Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Kia Stonic, and MG ZS in Pakistan. It has a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder petrol turbocharged engine with 158 horsepower (hp), 260 Newton-meters (Nm), and the front wheels with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.

Details:

MCML is expected to release the 2021 facelift for CS35, with many cosmetics and other updates. It is packed with blind-spot monitoring, panoramic sunroof, touch-based infotainment system, automatic climate control, stability control, hill-start assist, parking sensors, etc.

Oshan X5:

A compact crossover SUV Oshan X5 that will compete with the Kia Sportage, MG HS, Proton X70, Haval Jolion, and Hyundai Tucson. A sharp-looking SUV with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol turbocharged engine delivers 180 hp and 300 Nm of torque to the front wheels with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The luxury SUV prides itself on smart driver aids, autonomous braking, blind-spot discovery, smart infotainment unit, adaptive cruise control, etc.

Oshan X7 made its Chinese market debut in 2020. Moreover, It is a high-spec SUV that boasts smart driver aids, autonomous braking, blind-spot detection, a smart infotainment unit, adaptive cruise control, and several other amenities.

Cost:

The Changan CS35 Plus will cost around Rs. 4 million, and Oshan X5 will cost around Rs. 5 million. Being the latest generation SUVs with impressive features and performance, these SUVs are likely to do well in Pakistan.
