Captain BABAR AZAM will play in the Second Test Match or not?

Babar Azam’ s Injury:

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan Cricket Team. He is the only player who is among the top Five ICC rankings across all formats. Babar Azam was badly injured during a throw-down practice session after which he was taken to a local hospital. X-ray revealed fractured right thumb, and he was asked for 12 days rest.

Ruled out of T20 series and Test Match:

Due to his injury, Babar Azam was not able to play in T20I series and the first Test Match, in which Pakistani Cricket Team faced series of defeat with also losing the first Test Match. Now the cricket enthusiasts are expecting whether Babar Azam will play as a Captain of Cricket Team in the Second Test Match, as his injury has not yet fully recovered.

Final Decision:

The final decision of Babar Azam being played in the Second Test Match will be made last day before the start of the second Test match. Because according to many sources, Babar Azam is still having difficulty in holding the Bat and have not practiced much in the nets with a hard ball.

The team management might include Babar in the starting line-up of second test match if he plays without any discomfort in the net practice sessions on Friday and Saturday.

Team Management wants Babar to heal as soon as possible so that to prepare Babar to lead as captain in the upcoming matches against South Africa. As Babar was also expected to lead the Pakistani Cricket Team in test match in New Zealand but unfortunately that had to wait.

Mohammad Rizwan:

Mohammad Rizwan, the wicket keeper batsman was made temporarily captain in place of Babar Azam. He led the team in the two half centuries in the first Test Match in New Zealand.

It is expected that he might have to lead in second test match also as Babar’s injury might take more time to heal.
