Can Food platters still have the craze in Karachi people
In the ongoing mid pandemic scenes, dining at restaurants is not that normal. For making the restaurant experiences available for people, the food platters have been introduced since the start of lockdown with various items for people to enjoy at home with home delivery facilities.
Many restaurant owners and home-based chefs like Evergreen. Pk, YayCheese, Thyme.pk, Pinch & Co., etc., state that they are trying to make food platters trend in Pakistan, they also offer the newest trending delicious foods of foreign countries. Also, they are offering those platters at a reasonable price, which is cheaper than the restaurant prices for food platters. They further added that the restaurants only provide two or three items, killing the concept of a food platter. Many home-based chefs say that they focus on filling the platters on most of the meals as they can.
Prices:
The prices of platters range from Rs. 4000 to Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 12,000 depending on the number of people being served and the number of items in the platter. Many customers also ask for discounts, which results in quality and quantity differences.
Troubles faced:
These platter businesses also face troubles like last-minute cancellations and customizations. It wastes food, wastes a lot of time, and bothers the chefs, though it doesn’t happen much.
Future of food platters:
The future of the platters depends upon the creativity and the variety offered by the restaurants and homemade businesses, as Ramadan is over and Eid also. Many people were crazy about the food platters on Eid; it requires to a lot of hard work, time, and effort to manage and make a platter, “People in Karachi are big on novelty,” so it is a must for the chefs to create a platter that looks more delicious and creative.
