BJ40 is a Compact off-road SUV
The official Facebook page of BAIC Pakistan shared photos of the first BJ40 SUV assembled in the area that will soon go on sale. Interestingly, the date specified “at the beginning of production” is 28th May 2021.
The BJ40 is a compact off-road SUV that looks like a cross between the JL Jeep Wrangler series and the brand new Land Rover Defender. It is a unique car that currently seems to have no direct competitors in the Pakistani market, especially among locally produced SUVs.
Features of BJ40 SUV :
The BJ40 will be introduced for the first time with a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 218 hp and 270 Nm of torque, and The torque is rated with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Power is sent to the front or both wheels depending on the variance with an automatic six-speed automatic gearbox and standard gears low off-roading. It is reported that a different diesel-powered line will be installed soon.
The BJ40 is fitted with basic components such as all-wheel drive brakes with ABS technology, electronic parking brake, automatic climate control (high range), rear vent A, parking sensors, traction control, stability control, hill- start to assist, with descent drop, modern infotainment unit, dual airbags, and multi-functional steering wheel.
Launch Date and Price
According to the sources, there has no official word on pricing just yet, but it will be placed in the competitive market. With the output of the BAIC BJ40, which has already begun, we can expect that your vehicle is going to be official soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
Considering that the BJ40 is a suitable off-road SUV with the company’s so-called hard and heavy powertrain, body-on-frame chassis, and road suspension setup might cost between Rs. 3.7 million and Rs. 4.5 million, and we will propose a decent number of road poor and SUV enthusiasts in general.
