ARY Network has announced that it will increase the salaries of some of its employees by 80 percent. However, the decision was taken in line with PM Imran Khan’s proposal to raise their employees’ wages. ARY chief executive officer, Salman Iqbal, has clarified that employees have a salary of Rs. Twenty thousand or less will receive an 80 percent pay rise. In the first phase, we increased the low-paid workers’ wages. Other employees will also receive a raise in the coming days. Salman Iqbal emphasized that “the increase is in line with PM Imran’s call for entrepreneurs to pass on the impact of economic development to their employees.”
The PM wrote in his tweet:
“I thank the President and CEO of ARY Digital Network Salman Iqbal for answering my call and raising staff salaries. I urge other companies that made a huge profit last year to increase their employees’ wages.
Responding to the premier’s tweet, Salman Iqbal thanked him for acknowledgment and hashtags #AnythingforPakistan and #PakistanZindabad.
Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar tweeted :
Asad Umar wrote on Twitter, “Well done, Salman, for raising so many ARY staff salaries. Big business houses have made a huge profit over the past few years. I hope others will follow up and share more profits with their employees by increasing their salaries. ”
Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry Tweeted:
Fawad Chaudhry also commended Salman Iqbal for announcing a pay rise for his staff and called on other media outlets to fulfill their obligations and pass on the benefits they received to their employees. “Our payroll sector has been affected by inflation, and such measures will help this sector of society to cope with inflation.”
PTI Senator Faisal Javed tweeted:
Faisal Javed wrote, “Salman Iqbal do a great job. As the Pak stock market is making the highest profit in 10 years, it is backed by a constant profit of a high of 930 billion by 2021. PM Imran Khan had called on the Corporate sector to increase workers’ salaries. I hope others will follow through on that. ”
